This innovative project for State Farm Insurance (54 Warburton Ave, Yonkers, NY 10701) aims to reimagine their office space into a lively and engaging environment. My task was to create an immersive experience by designing and installing three unique walls. The walls feature oversized Lego replicas as a backsplash on their lower halves while incorporating real Lego baseboards on the upper halves. This integration encourages participation from both staff and clients, fostering a collaborative and creative atmosphere.
a vibrant mural showcases the office's guiding slogan, "Building Blocks To Your Future." The artwork brings the slogan to life with Trompe-l'œil Lego bricks to create a stunning 3D effect that explodes behind the text. Placed strategically on the wall facing the entrance, this mural welcomes visitors, setting an inspiring tone for the entire space.
Adding a touch of whimsy and sophistication, I handcrafted a custom Lego sculpture to decorate one of the column dividers. fashioned from real Legos, this unique accent piece seamlessly blends artistry with the overarching theme of the office, elevating the space with playful charm.
My process involved using a table saw to cut plywood & intricately assembling oversized Lego structures with wood glue. Each Lego piece underwent careful priming and painting with acrylics, ensuring a seamless integration with the office's existing color scheme. The incorporation of real Lego baseboards provides an ongoing canvas for creativity, allowing staff and clients to contribute and engage.
The outcome is a remarkable transformation of the State Farm Insurance office into a dynamic and interactive space, embodying the brand's values of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking. The fusion of meticulously crafted art elements and interactive Lego structures invites engagement, symbolizing a shared journey towards a vibrant and inspiring future.
